The goal of an apprentice program is to identify  skilled young individuals and provide them with opportunities to collect practical-professional experiences. Doing so organizations aim to find and keep the ones who can contribute to the success of the organization the best in the future.
In general organizations run one- year-long apprentice programs. In the first half of the year the apprentice usually is given an insight into the everyday life of the organization as a whole and in the second half of the year  the apprentice gets involved in the work of a department according to their specific profession.  During the program apprentices get continous support and feedback about their performance from their assigned mentor.
